The debate in Acts 15 is about the requirement or non-requirement of circumcision of Gentiles because of converting to Christianity and following Christ. There had been circumcision of Jesus and therefore, the argument had been that the circumcision be done for the Gentiles. There had been fulfilment and keeping of every commandment of God (given to Moses in the form of God’s law to be adhered to by every Jew) by Jesus. Circumcision had been one of the main Jewish laws.
